SCREENING OF DEBJANI’S PERSONAL STORIES WITH MEHERA ON SUNDAY MAY 17, 2026

May 20, 2026, marks the 37th death anniversary of Mehera Jehangir Irani.
Mehera was Avatar Meher Baba’s foremost female disciple and is considered the purest soul in the universe.
Revered as His “Radha” or “Sita”, she was the heart of the women’s mandali (inner circle) and lived a completely secluded, devoted life centered entirely on her Beloved Lord.
Meher Baba held Mehera in utmost regard, stating, “She is My very breath without which I cannot live” and that she loved Him “as He ought to be loved”.
Her reunion with her Beloved was on May 20, 1989, and she is entombed next to Meher Baba’s Samadhi on Meherabad Hill in Ahilyanagar, India.
To commemorate this Day,  Debjani Ray, a Meherabad resident is releasing a film on the Youtube on May 20, 2026.
She had been kind enough to share the link of the film with our Bombay Centre for screening.
She was an invitee at the Avatar’s Abode, Australia, for their first Women Sahavas in March 2025 and the film contains her personal stories, besides other things, of her time with Mehera, especially for three months prior to Mehera’s reunion with Beloved Baba.
It contains footage and photos from the Samadhi in May 1989, understandings disclosed from the Mandali at that time, both men and women, recorded message spoken by Meheru Irani, letters received from the mandali, a very sweet message from Baba to Mehera, plus a host of researched and well collaborated information on the theme.
It was filmed by Michael LePage, with editing suggestions by him as well.
The film will be screened at our Bombay Centre on May 17, 2026 from 5:45 P.M. onwards.
There will be NO live telecast of the film.
Please attend and share this information with others in your contact.
Jai Baba!
