HOLI SIGNIFICANCE

On March 11th, 1922, the Hindu festival of Holi (Fire) was celebrated with a game of atya-patya and later by burning a fire in an earthen pit. Baba himself threw a fragment of wood into the fire and the Holi festival was started. He explained, “The fire is symbolic of the fire of divine love and the wood represents the lower self which is to be burned in that fire.”
